The Energy Wheel: ten sources of energy, one question.

The wheel exists because people miss hazards they have no category for. Gravity and motion are noticed almost without effort; pressure, temperature, chemical, radiation and biological are routinely overlooked. Used after instinct, as a check, the wheel found about 30% more hazards in Hallowell’s field study. It produces a complete inventory, not a priority order; that is the job of the high-energy threshold.
